Dan Tien
refers to the circular space within the body that has been designated
for the storage of qi/energy and cultivation of Inner Alchemy. The
size of Dan Tien would depend on the volume and density of the energy
stored therein, since energy is liable to condense or disperse, the
size of Dan Tien is therefore variable, it would contract or expand
according to the movement of the energy.
One can designate the number and location of Dan Tien, in my practice,
I had chosen three locations in the body for the development of Dan
Tien, namely,
(1) the Lower Dan Tien, located at the Solar
Plexus Chakra
(2) the Middle Dan Tien, located at the Heart Chakra, and
(3) the Upper Dan Tien, located at the Crown Chakra.
All the three Dan Tiens have their cores coincided with the Core
Channel respectively, and they are thus linked by the Core Channel.
My notion of Dan Tien is not quite the same as the view point of the
traditional schools of Chinese qigong.
I emphasize that The Solar Plexus Chakra is a good location to practice
gathering of energy, when the Solar Plexus is filled up with energy,
any more influx of energy would then automatically flowing along the
Core Channel upwards to gather at the Heart Chakra, and when the Heart
Chakra is full, similarly, the additional influx of energy would automatically
flowing along the Core Channel upwards to gather at the Crown Chakra,
since energy will act according to its own wisdom.
The concluding meditation at the end of each practice aims at storing
up good energy at the Solar Plexus Chakra effectively.
